2023 Unlocking the Toolkit Event

Manitoba Women in Construction along with Winnipeg Construction Association and presenting sponsor, Manitoba Status of Women, had the privilege of delivering another successful Unlocking the Toolkit event on April 20, 2023!

 

 

Unlocking the Toolkit is a one-day event designed to engage students in Grades 5 and 6 to careers in the construction trades which are not traditionally held by women, through interactive and hands-on demonstrations. The trade stations include bricklaying, plumbing, welding, painting, electrical, carpentry, operators, and overall careers in construction.

 

This event hosts approximately 90 students with 30 exhibitors and MANY more volunteers with the intent to engage, educate and build confidence in our younger generation on the many options that are available to them in the construction industry.
